Krizna Gomez coordinates the international work of Dejusticia. She also works as a research coordinator, focusing on the crackdown against civil society as well as solidarity support for defenders at risk in the global South. She has a Master of Laws (LL.M) with a concentration in International Human Rights Law from Harvard, and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Juris Doctor from Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines. She was granted a Presidential Fellowship at the Open Society Foundations in New York, where she focused on donor policies affecting the security of their grantees. Gomez began her career as a human rights lawyer and law lecturer in the Philippines. In Cambodia, Ghana, Papua New Guinea, and Uganda, she worked on issues of gender-based violence, education, and the protection of human rights defenders.
